The Waukesha Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department is offering Urban Forestry internships for the summer of 2025.
Waukesha has a strong history of urban forestry, from its early adoption of an electronic inventory, to partnering in research projects, to our proactive structural pruning program. Tree care professionals throughout Wisconsin and beyond, got their start right here in Waukesha.
We are looking for a candidate, or candidates interested in learning more about the field of urban forestry and arboriculture. Candidates should be interested in gaining practical experience in all aspects of arboriculture, including tree planting, pruning, removal, inventory, entomology, and pathology.
Students can work full-time (40 hour weeks), throughout the summer. Compensation is $17.05 to $19.05/hour based on experience and education.
