Examples of Duties

What you'll do- Key Responsibilities

  • Develop daily inspection schedules for Building Inspectors.
  • Complete Sunshine requests on behalf of the Planning & Development department.
  • Create permit packets.
  • Prepare reports, letters, memos and other communications including commission packets and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to all individuals by demonstrating a willingness to be attentive, understanding, responsive, fair, courteous, respectful, and to actively participate in maintaining a positive customer service environment.
  • Assist residents, customers, & contractors by phone, online and in person.
  • Interpret and explain policies and regulations accurately and tactfully.
  • Provide confidential administrative support to the Director and management; serves as central liaison for department in the dissemination of administrative information.
  • Schedule meetings and activities.
  • Typical Qualifications

    You Have (Knowledge & Abilities) :

  • High school diploma
  • 3-5 years progressively responsible work experiencein administrative roles, with increasing responsibility, complexity, and leadership duties.
  • Preferred education : Associate degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
  • Ability to pass an extensive background check
  • Excellent computer skills, especially MicrosoftExcel & PowerPoint
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered by the city.?
