What you’ll do- Key Responsibilities
Develop daily inspection schedules for Building Inspectors.
Complete Sunshine requests on behalf of the Planning & Development department.
Create permit packets.
Prepare reports, letters, memos and other communications including commission packets and PowerPoint presentations.
Provide exemplary customer service to all individuals by demonstrating a willingness to be attentive, understanding, responsive, fair, courteous, respectful, and to actively participate in maintaining a positive customer service environment.
Assist residents, customers, & contractors by phone, online and in person.
Interpret and explain policies and regulations accurately and tactfully.
Provide confidential administrative support to the Director and management; serves as central liaison for department in the dissemination of administrative information.
Schedule meetings and activities.
You Have (Knowledge & Abilities):
High school diploma
3-5 years progressively responsible work experiencein administrative roles, with increasing responsibility, complexity, and leadership duties.
Preferred education: Associate degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
Ability to pass an extensive background check
Excellent computer skills, especially MicrosoftExcel & PowerPoint
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered by the city.?

Schedule inspections for building permits and code enforcement
Process payments for permits, applications and reviews
Maintain electronic records of Building Division permit files per regulations
