POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the planning, implementation, maintenance, and security of the City's information technology infrastructure and will provide high-level hardware, software and enterprise application support to all City departments. This position involves administering servers, networks, software applications, and cybersecurity measures. Provides a primary point of contact for technology related projects, requests, technical consulting, and IT project management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Administer the Office 365 platform, including user accounts, licenses, and permissions.
- Maintain virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) to ensure high availability of critical systems.
- Maintain servers, workstations, and network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Recognizes and resolves hardware and software problems.
- Keeps current on new technology; research and review current software and hardware products and trends to recommend future implementations of technology to ensure the City stays current and is prepared for future technology trends.
- Develops procedure manuals/videos and system documentation to ensure consistent operation of enterprise applications.
- Researches, tests, evaluates and implements new enterprise software applications and upgrades of existing applications.
- Assists in planning and systems analysis, software configuration and training of employees on enterprise systems.
- Provides day-to-day administration and maintenance of the assigned enterprise systems, including any technologies which support customer service and/or staff activities directly.
- Respond to escalated helpdesk tickets as needed.
- Ensure integrity of backups and recovery solutions.
- Maintains all system documentation.
- Develops partnerships between Information Technology and other City departments.

Knowledge of:
- Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure).
- Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
- Network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network troubleshooting.
- Business intelligence concepts including reporting and ETL.
- IT Security concepts including data communication security and privacy techniques and Active Directory security concepts.
- Internet browsers, web application servers and connectivity to the internet.
- Wired and wireless networking concepts.
- Information Technology processes, regulations, codes, ordinances and terminology.
- Computer equipment, open systems, networking and client/server environments.
- Principles of business system analysis, including the analysis of procedures, equipment and methods.
- Requirements definition, design specifications, systems design and development.
- Latest Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
- Latest Microsoft SQL Server versions.
- Latest Microsoft Office products and other relevant technologies.
Skill in:
- The Office 365 platform, Entra ID, and Intune.
- Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune.
- PowerShell scripting and automation in Office 365.
- Security best practices within the Office 365 environment.
- Hybrid environments integrating on-premises Active Directory with Azure AD.
- Compliance requirements, including CJIS, PCI, and HIPAA, as applicable.
- Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate).
- Troubleshooting and resolving computer hardware, software and peripheral problems.
- Organizational and time management to prioritize duties to accomplish a high volume of work product while adapting to constant changes in priority.

- Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in systems analysis or design, testing and implementation of computer-based information systems and project management experience, preferably in the public sector.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Salary : $66,733 - $93,421
