The Gym & Fitness Attendant's typical duties include ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the gymnasium and fitness areas while providing the very best customer service in a friendly atmosphere. Incumbents in this position will also be performing varied duties including responding to customer needs, ensuring the area is clean and adequately stocked and performing other assigned tasks as required; assisting patrons in registering and participating in programs and answering patron inquiries; Completing required reports, including facility-tracking reports, incident reports, and accident reports; Meeting the unique needs of participants by modifying assignments and activities and providing general assistance as needed.

This is a part-time position, not to exceed an average of 29 hours per week.

Job Qualifications Education, experience and training that are required or desirable to effectively perform the job at the time of hire. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements and substitutions may be requested and require the approval of HR.
- CPR/AED and Standard First Aid certification within 90 days of hire is required.
- Prior customer service experience is desired.

- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and systems to accomplish tasks.

- Ability to communicate eectively and professionally with supervisors, co-workers, and customers by telephone, in writing, and in person.
- Ability to use good judgment and think rationally in diicult or stressful situations.
- Ability to develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work, as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using basic business software (word processing, spreadsheets, email, presentations) and basic oice equipment.
- Ability to work under direct supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential job duty. The job requires being reliable, responsible and dependable.
