The City of West St Paul is hiring a Seasonal Outdoor Pool Front Desk Coordinator.
The Coordinator will be responsible for providing customer service, occasionally provides work direction to other pool staff, and assisting with the operations of the outdoor pool and concessions, including coordinating with YMCA lifeguards to provide a fun and safe experience for pool users.
Must be available for the majority of the pool season from June 1 - August 25, 2025 on assigned days.
Hours are anticipated to be between 15-30 hours weekly. Mostly nights and weekends, depending on staffing levels and availability.

- Works independently to solve problems and responds to issues quickly and safely.
- Enforces facility rules and regulations.
- Uses basic first aid procedures to assist injured participants. Contacts EMS as needed.
- Maintains proper documentation for all accidents and incidents.
- Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as are apparent or assigned.
- Conducts transactions of products, including the collection and processing of payment.
- Provides excellent customer service to pool visitors.
- Handles sales to patrons, including collection and processing of payment.
- Monitors and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
- Balances cash drawer daily, including completion of a deposit slip and ensuring cash drawer has designated amount for next day’s operations.
- Works with YMCA staff on weather related decisions.
- Possess a current driver’s license without suspension
- Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Good communication and customer relation skills
- Previous pool and/or supervisory experience.
- Cash handling experience.
- Any combination of CPR/AED/First Aid Certification(s).
- Must be polite, approachable, and respectful.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Work well with others in a team atmosphere.
- While performing duties of this job, must be able to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear; handle or operate objects, tools or equipment; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; kneel, crouch or crawl; lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Interact with the community to provide a safe and fun experience.
- Ability to make difficult decisions in a timely, safe, and customer-oriented manner.
Salary : $18 - $20
