BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to provide education, outreach, referrals, HIV and Syphilis testing, and support for clients in need of services. This is accomplished by completing Disease Intervention and Congenital Syphilis training through DSHS, outreach, home and jail visit activities, performing blood draws, giving test results, identifying risks, disbursing condoms, education, and maintenance materials, and completing and updating charts and reports. Other duties include entering bars, county jails, and rehabs, day travel in a personal vehicle, entering and reviewing data and statistical information, and public speaking.
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a valid class C driver’s license.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires phlebotomy experience and must be able to receive clearance to enter law enforcement and correctional facilities.
Must have a valid driver’s license, transportation and ability to travel during work hours.

1 S Through walk-in services, outreach, or by appointment, locates, greets, and interviews applicants, gathers information, and determines eligibility for services by asking specific questions, completing forms, verifying eligibility, and providing services.
2 S Provides services and information by pulling files, educating clients on diseases, counseling, disseminating information on related services for which they may be eligible, performing regular testing, and taking tests to labs.
3 S Maintains files, databases and other information on clients and services by updating charts and files, reporting statistical information, maintaining client folders, and providing related information to health authorities.
4 S Maintains supply inventories and necessary documentation. .
5 S Completes administrative tasks by answering the phone, processing inquiries, answering program questions, providing eligibility paperwork, and processing mail.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Formal Education Work requires the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency.
Experience Phlebotomy experience is required.
