Bus Driver (Part-time)

Job Overview
The Willard Recreation Center is seeking a reliable and responsible Bus Driver to transport children from Willard East, Willard North and Willard North Intermediate, and Willard Central, to our afterschool program at the Rec Center. This part-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and is available during the afternoons.

Driver will pick up bus at the Willard Recreation Center and travel to school sites for pick-up.

Duties
· Safely transport students from designated elementary schools to the Willard Rec Center.

· Ensure all students are accounted for at each pick-up point.

· Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.

· Maintain a clean and safe bus environment.

· Communicate any transportation-related issues to the program coordinator.

· Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus as needed.

· Perform daily pre-trip checks on the bus to ensure it is in good working order.

Requirements
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by law.

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

· CDL with passenger endorsement.

· Ability to manage and interact with children in a professional and caring manner.

· Strong commitment to safety and punctuality.

· Must be available to work between 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM (if school is in session).
- Previous experience in school bus driving or childcare settings is an advantage.

- Ability to manage diverse groups of children effectively and compassionately.

- Must be punctual, reliable, and committed to providing excellent service to all passengers.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 15 per week
