What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Services Inspector position at City of Winchester?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review construction plans and specifications for compliance with City Codes, Ordinances, and Standards;
- Inspect water projects, sanitary sewers, storm sewer, public buildings and streets extensions, and erosion and sediment control measures;
- Assist the public with utility, water/sewer line easement locations, answering questions regarding City codes, Ordinances, and Standards;
- Provide technical advice to the public and co-workers;
- Measure distance to verify accuracy of dimensions of structural installations and layouts;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) plus two years of related experience
- Valid driver's license
- Possess or ability to obtain DEQ Erosion Control and Stormwater Inspector Certifications within one year of hire
