Job Summary :
The City of Woodstock is seeking to fill a Full-Time Librarian I position with the Woodstock Public Library. This Librarian I (MLS) position is responsible to assist patrons in locating and using materials / information ; provide information and collection development for assigned program area(s); and implement and / or maintain library resources and services. The work is performed under the direction of the Assistant Library Director or the Head of Youth Services.
Schedule :
The days and hours for this position are as follows :
- Monday : 9 : 00am - 6 : 00pm
- Tuesday and Wednesday : 11 : 00am - 8 : 00pm
- Thursday : 9 : 00am - 6 : 00pm
- Friday : 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm (Every Other)
- Saturday : 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm (Every Other)

Please note that this position may also be filled at a lower paygrade (Library Specialist at $20.36 per hour) by a chosen candidate without an MLS degree, rather a bachelors degree and on track to obtain an MLS.
Salary & Benefits :
Starting annual salary for this full-time, exempt / salaried role is $55,025.57. Additionally, an excellent benefits package is provided including, but not limited to, group health insurance and IMRF pension.
