The Wyoming Department of Public Safety is currently accepting applications for the position of police recruit. Police Officers with the Wyoming Department of Public Safety are NOT cross-trained and are NOT required to possess firefighting or MFR qualifications.
The position of police recruit is for candidates who aspire to become full-time police officers with the City of Wyoming. The position includes police academy sponsorship, competitive pay while in the police academy, and the intent to be hired as a full-time police officer upon successful completion of the academy and licensing by MCOLES. The City of Wyoming Department of Public Safety – Police Division will sponsor candidates through the MCOLES Public Safety Academy Assistance Program. To be considered for this position, candidates with an associate degree in criminal justice, public administration, or a related field are preferred.
