Refrigeration Mechanic (Non-licensed)

The Refrigeration Mechanic 7-E9 position covers the entry level up to experienced level mechanic responsible for performing a variety of assignments involving the installation, maintaining, and performing of preventive maintenance of heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, pneumatic, humidity, and digital direct control systems at all MSP Facilities.The Michigan State Police is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace that accepts, respects, and values the unique contributions of everyone. ExperienceRefrigeration Mechanic 7No specific type or amount required.Refrigeration Mechanic 8Two years of experience assisting skilled trades workers in the HVAC or refrigeration mechanic trade, such as heating and cooling, hydronic heating, refrigeration cooling, or mechanical contractor or inspector; OR the completion Completion of a vocational training program in refrigeration mechanics that includes commercial or industrial level instruction.Refrigeration Mechanic E9Four years of experience in the HVAC or refrigeration mechanic trade, such as heating and cooling, hydronic heating, refrigeration cooling, or mechanical contractor or inspector, including one year equivalent to a Refrigeration Mechanic 8. Alternate Education and ExperienceRefrigeration Mechanic 8 - E9Completion of a vocational training program in refrigeration mechanics that includes commercial or industrial level instruction may be substituted for two years of experience assisting skilled trades workers.
