YPAC Box Office Ticket Seller

The Yucaipa Performing Arts Center (YPAC) opened in the Spring of 2019 and is a 16,200 sq. ft. facility with a 10,500 sq. ft. multi-purpose theater with retractable seating for up to 285 individuals. The versatile space allows for audiences of up to 500 standing individuals as well as configurations for receptions and meetings. In addition, there is an indoor/outdoor stage with an adjoining 14,000 sq. ft. open-air plaza for audiences of up to 4,000 individuals. The YPAC provides space for many types of performing arts, including concerts, dance, theater, galas, and large events. Throughout the year, the City of Yucaipa also hosts several festivals, which include live performances in the Historic Uptown district where the YPAC is located.

The YPAC Box Office Ticket Seller assists patrons with ticket distribution via ticket purchases (selling) or picking up tickets previously arranged (will call) and provides general information about the Yucaipa Performing Arts Center (YPAC). Maximum of 950 hours per fiscal year.

• Communicating pleasantly and courteously with guests, management, and co-workers;
• Assisting guests with ticket purchasing on show and non-show days using the Purplepass ticketing system;
• Following proper procedures for cash/credit card handling, reconciling of cash and inventory discrepancies; 
• Distributing of will call (previously arranged tickets) to guests for various events;
• Assisting guests with general concert information i.e., event availability, event pricing, event seating, event scheduling, and general parking information;
• Assisting with artist’s tour ticket distribution and guest list;
• Accurately reconciling all sales and will call receipts;
• Resolving complaints in a prompt and friendly manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and referring more complex problems or customer service issues to appropriate managers;
• Being flexible with adjustments to duties and assignments on a shift-by-shift basis; and
• Other duties as assigned.

• 16 years of age or older;
• Must be able to accurately count and efficiently deal with large quantities of cash or other payment methods such as credit cards, checks or money orders;
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to work with people effectively as well as understand and execute instructions;
• Must be available to work weekends, weekdays, nights, and holidays;
• Adhere to YPAC uniform and appearance policy along with work and break schedules; and
• Must be friendly, reliable and work as a team member.

• Ability to stand and walk continuously for the duration of the shift;
• Ability to perform duties in a variety of outdoor weather conditions including sun, extreme heat, cold and rain;
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, climb and twist;
• Ability to navigate a variety of ground surfaces and areas, including asphalt, concrete, pavers, stairs, slopes and ramps; and
• Ability to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to low light visibility, around crowds, loud noise, flashing lights. 

• Previous box office experience preferred, but not required;
• Organizational and time management skills;
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills; and
• Basic computer skills.
