Position Overview
We're seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role plays a vital part in maintaining accurate and timely cash application, invoice delivery, collections follow-up, and credit evaluation. You'll work closely with our Sales and Finance teams to support business growth while ensuring financial accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
-Cash Applications & Invoicing
- Process bank deposits, credit card transactions, and ACH payments
- Accurately apply payments across multiple accounting systems
- Deliver invoices promptly, including uploads to customer portals
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing/payment discrepancies
-Collections & Credit Management
- Conduct proactive outreach (calls and emails) to collect outstanding receivables
- Evaluate creditworthiness of new customers and recommend credit terms
- Monitor customer payment trends and escalate potential risk areas
- Partner with Sales and Leadership to manage credit risk while supporting revenue growth
- Continuously refine AR strategy to align with changing business needs
- Assist the Controller in streamlining and automating AR processes
What You Bring
- 3-5 years of experience in AR, including cash applications, invoicing, collections, and credit evaluation
- Proficiency with ERPs, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization
- High attention to detail and ability to manage complex transactions accurately
- Adaptability to shifting priorities in a growing business
