What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative and Ministries Coordinator position at City Sanctuary Church, Deland Church of God?
GENERAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Analysis: Through observation, evaluation and interaction with the Lead Pastor, staff, and congregation, analyze the entire organizational structure of the church. Determine strengths, weaknesses, opportunities for growth and development, and potential threats that could harm our progress. Using a backgroud in organizational leadership, make recommendations to the Lead Pastor that will better organize our church ministries for health, efficiency and growth.
Organization & Recruitment: After analysis, organize or reorganize our church administrative practices within the general church, giving special attention to the assimilation of First Time Attenders.
Supervision: Delegation of tasks is essential to accomplishing great results for this position. This requires consistent follow-up and supervision. By establishing rapport with the volunteers and staff, seek to achieve a high level of efficiency with areas of responsibility.
Coordination: Ensure that there are no conflicts in church calendar events, and that our ministries calendar coordinates with general church calendar and reflects our core values and vision.
Administrative duties:
- Work in harmony with the Lead Pastor and his vision in order to be successful. Sunday church attendance is required, unless excused.
- Oversee the ministry activities and functions for sign-ups in the lobby on Wednesdays and Sundays.
- Project coordination, research and development and management of the Lead Pastor’s office. Recruit the help of staff and volunteers to assist with special projects as needed.
- Manage Lead Pastor’s calendar, working a minimum of three months ahead to organize and plan his schedule.
- Create a Sunday worship Calendar at least a month in advance to ensure all Sunday items are covered in a timely fashion (special events, speakers, communion, etc.).
- Assist Lead Pastor in preparing meeting agendas and set up. This includes a weekly Creative Team meeting that includes sound, lighting, PowerPoint, and videos to be incorporated into the weekly worship service.
- Handle all correspondence from Lead Pastor’s office.
- Coordinate bi-annual Connect Groups and Ministry Teams launch.
- Assist Lead Pastor with social media marketing and pod/vod casting.
- Prepare sermon/teaching slides for the Lead Pastor.
- Help to administrate multigenerational worship involvement.
- Oversee the improvement and expansion of City Hosts (greeter/connections team). Serve as a liaison between the Lead Pastor and team leadership to advance the church vision through this team.
- Assist Lead Pastor with all other areas as needed.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
