Position: Purchasing Agent
Compensation: Salary 45-100K. We also offer a strong benefit package including 401k, a 401K match, health & dental care, and both Short Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance.
Job Duties:
· Maintain appropriate inventory availability while minimizing working capital investment.
· Review daily suggested purchasing reports to provide accurate purchase orders with buying decisions based on economical methods regarding quantities, order minimums, prepaid freight terms, quality, reputation, and availability.
· Communicate with sales staff on a regular basis to determine inventory needs as well as changes from products and vendor pricing.
· Communicate with customers.
· Monitor industry trends regarding new and changing products.
· Evaluate supplier performance.
· Identify and recommend cost effective ways to eliminate over-stock and obsolete merchandise
· Continually learning and adapting to industry changes and trends.
· Develop and maintain relationships with both Vendors and Customers
