Please visit www.laguardia.edu to learn more.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Human Resources Coordinator will work closely with the CUNY Central Office Civil Service and campus HR teams to ensure the successful processing of all civil service personnel transactions and administrative reporting is completed in a timely manner. The Human Resources Coordinator will report to the HR Manager and perform the following duties : Provide quality employee relations service for all Civil Service staff.Monitor the performance evaluation and merit award processes for the appropriate Civil Service titles; provide guidance and training on performance evaluation and merit award processes as needed.Process the new hire, background checks and separation documents for all Civil Service titles.Monitor E-Verity, Tumbleweed, TruView, and other background check or reporting software for updated results and notifications.CUNYFirst to view and download various HR related reports and upload information to SharePoint, Tumbleweed, or other HR integrated system when necessary.Collaborate with CUNY-Central Office to ensure proper data extracts that will be used in data conversion, utilizing software such as SharePoint, Tumbleweed and Access.Investigate and resolve issues involving missing information or errors in CUNYFirst.Create spreadsheets with revisions and new data for various civil service actions.Prepare and submit data to CUNY Central for review and approval to update CUNYFirst.Ensure compliance with university policy to abide by mandates of City, State guidelines and regulations.Attend all CUNYFirst related trainings and meetings for the Community Colleges and participate in all Civil Service informational sessions as required by CUNY Central.Provide support with testing new components of CUNYFirst or other ERP system and provide feedback when necessary.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree required.OTHER QUALIFICATIONSPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAttention to detail is required.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel.BENEFITSCUNY offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees and eligible dependents based on job title and classification.
