DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
San Francisco, CA
Position Summary:
City Ventures is looking for a highly motivated Development Manager to assist with the management of ground-up development of residential and mixed-use projects in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. The ideal Development Manager applicant has 3 years of experience focused on entitlements and land development. The Development Manager enjoys complex puzzles with multiple moving parts, commits to a sustainable vision for construction, and has an eye for high quality design. This position works from the City Ventures office in San Francisco and will be expected to travel locally to meet with municipalities and visit job sites. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about real estate, extremely self-motivated, curious, and resourceful, have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and can use critical thinking to deduce next steps in a high-volume, fast paced, and fun environment.
Additionally, we expect that you will participate in due diligence and project entitlement activities assigned to you at our discretion.
This role will work at the City Ventures office in San Francisco, CA and is a Full Time Exempt position.

Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree is required in business, urban planning, real estate development or a related field; an advanced degree is welcome but not required.
• Must have great understanding of Northern California geography.
• Must have a minimum of 4 years real estate acquisition or development experience.
• Strong knowledge of land use and real estate development in Northern California.
• Proficient understanding of Excel and financial pro forma analysis, organizational skills, strong writing skills, and great interpersonal skills.
Compensation: Salary ranges from $90,000 - $120,000 per year, plus discretionary annual bonus, and mileage reimbursement for travel during the workday (not commute).
