JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on the electrical components, PLCs, and
instrumentation in the water and wastewater systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance of the electrical components, PLCs, and instrumentation using a computerized maintenance management system at the facilities, including but not limited to:
* Water treatment plants.
* Elevated storage tanks.
* Pump stations.
* Lift station equipment including complex.
* Specialized and/or high voltage (4160) systems and equipment.
- Provides status updates and escalates concerns to management.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform general procurement activities, including ordering and receiving materials, equipment, and other supplies.
- Perform security checks of department facilities, equipment, and work activities at locations including but not limited to: Water treatment plants, Elevated storage tanks, Lift stations, Pump stations and the Lake Arlington Dam.
- Respond to customer requests and assist in conducting special projects and studies for management as requested.
- Perform general maintenance activities.
- Available for the on-call rotation which entails twenty-four/seven (24/7) emergency call-out.
Inclement weather conditions may require additional support and operational readiness.
Considered Essential Personnel during emergency or advisory conditions and will be required to report for duty, if called.
