Summary:
This position will support the City’s Information Technology Department in various tasks related to the technologies used by the City of Lawrence. Duties will include basic troubleshooting, software installations, installing new PC’s, printers, and other related hardware. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the latest computer software and equipment.
Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will be someone seeking a career in information technology and having had some technical training or hands-on experience with computers and software. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license, the ability to pass a background check, and be capable of operating a City vehicle. Applicants should be well-organized and detail-oriented. A positive, responsible, and safety-oriented mindset, along with an excellent interpersonal approach, is critical.
Hours: Approximately 20-30 hours per week. The work schedule is flexible to accommodate schedules, but must be performed during normal business hours, Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm.
