About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Direct Sales Specialist to be an important part of our team. This role is responsible for developing and executing effective strategies to increase awareness and interest in our fiber internet services through a variety of community outreach and networking opportunities. They are responsible for securing participation through driving sales, community cultivation, lead generation and follow-up in assigned geographical areas.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Cityside Fiber’s core purpose and values and be passionate about what we do.
  • Educate and persuade potential customers on Cityside Fiber products, services, and competitive over Local competitors.
  • Drive direct sales efforts through face-to-face interactions, door-to-door canvassing, outbound calling, and follow-up with potential customers in assigned territories.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets by acquiring new residential customers through proactive outreach and strategic sales activities.
  • Plan and execute sales-focused community events to generate leads and build brand awareness.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local business organizations, community groups, and influencers to increase brand visibility and referral opportunities.
  • Spend 85% of working hours on direct outside sales efforts, including in-person events and door-to-door sales to secure new subscribers.
  • Track and report sales metrics, including engagement activities, leads, customer engagement, and pipeline progress.
  • Engage with individual customers and neighborhood leaders to prepare for construction/network expansion and maximize sign-ups.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute targeted sales campaigns, including promotions and account-based marketing.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure that leads are being effectively followed up and converted into subscribers.

Qualifications

  • High energy individual who is willing to be an integral part of a high growth service provider who puts people first, dares to be different and has fun disrupting an industry.
  • Proven track record in direct sales, door-to-door sales, or community-based sales roles.
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and self-driven with a strong desire to exceed sales quotas.
  • Ability to initiate conversations, build relationships and close deals with potential customers.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and a strong work ethic.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple leads and follow-ups effectively
  • Willingness to spend significant time in the field engaging with potential customers.
  • Able to work independently and as a team player.
  • Desire to learn more about residential internet services, fiber internet market and technology trends.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business preferred.
  • Valid state driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
  • This role requires up to 90% vehicle travel within the assigned territory. Travel will be primarily within the local footprint as needed to canvass assigned territory during sales activities.

Location

Our Headquarters and field offices are located in Irvine. May be required to travel to project/customer sites to fulfill job responsibilities.

Compensation

The On-Target Compensation (OTC) for this role is $90,000 annually with unlimited potential, which includes both base salary and expected commissions based on achieving sales goals. Starting annual base salary at $45,000 Monthly Commission.

$40 Cell Phone Stipend (Received Monthly)

Company vehicle provided for travel with the assigned territory
