The TRAC (Transition Resource Action Center) program in Dallas, TX welcomes AmeriCorps members in collaboration with CitySquare AmeriCorps. Within TRAC, members assist TRAC youth transitioning from foster care toward self-sufficiency by providing individualized support, planning, and access to community services.
This fall, we invite members to serve their communities in one of these roles:
- The Youth Housing AmeriCorps Member will support young adults in the transitional living apartments, assist youth with obtaining SNAP benefits and other resources, assist and orienting new youth to the apartment during move-in, and assist youth with budget planning and grocery shopping.
- The AmeriCorps Workforce Retention Specialist will connect with youth to discuss their progress in the workplace and support them in resolving any workplace issues, assist with employment coaching, including resume preparation, job searches, and interview skills, facilitate modules in employment workshops, and create youth job retention award promotions.
- The Youth Homeless Outreach AmeriCorps Member will provide outreach, case management, and supportive services to youth experiencing homelessness, assist youth to obtain documentation needed to obtain housing, assist housing navigators in locating youth to be placed in housing, and facilitate support group activities for youth.

Benefits of becoming a CitySquare AmeriCorps Member:
- Members will be paid $4,500 (broken down and paid in twice monthly installments during the term- $1,234 per month)

Minimum Qualifications:
- Available from September 5 – December 22, 2023
- Available 32 hours per week during business hours, M-F 8am-5pm, with the possibility of some hours on Saturdays
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Deferred action and temporary permanent resident do not qualify)
- Able to access reliable transportation
- Able to pass a criminal background check
Preferred qualifications:
- Preferred one-year experience in a non-profit setting as a paid employee or volunteer, and/or experience in social work, human service or a related field
