What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Designer (Stream & Wetland) position at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.?
Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC) has designed/restored over 250 miles of streams and 2,500 acres of wetlands. We have recently completed projects in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Colorado, South Carolina, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Tennessee - just to name a few!
As a CAD Designer for CEC Inc., you'll be a critical component of a diverse ecological restoration team working alongside professionals to improve ecosystems across the country. You will work from detailed sketches, developed design criteria, and verbal or written direction by senior designers to produce computer-generated to-scale engineering drawings and 3D models, including cross-sections, profiles, and details.

- 2-5 years relevant experience;
- Associate’s or technical degree in Computer Aided Drafting preferred;
- Working knowledge of computer-aided drafting software, specifically Autodesk Civil 3D experience;
- Ability to apply existing CAD skills to new types of projects;
- Ability to analyze and interpret design criteria;
- Organized and detail-oriented;
- Not afraid to ask questions and learn new skills; and
- Experience with GIS and RIVERMorph preferred but not required.
