What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Field Technician position at Civil & Environmental Consultants?
Overview
As a Survey Field Technician for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will be part of a survey field crew performing work on various construction projects preforming topographic and boundary surveys, and construction stakeouts. You will perform land survey work through the application of surveying principles and practices and use of modern survey equipment. You will operate instrumentation, clear brush, drive stakes, hold chains or rods, record data, prepare sketches and maintain equipment as needed. You will also have the opportunity to be responsible for utilizing surveying software applications to gather, retrieve and interpret important data, and performing basic survey computations. Ultimately, this position will provide a foundation for further professional development as a land surveyor. Must have your own transportation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of related survey experience;
- Experience with Construction staking preferred;
- Experience with Trimble and Access;
- Ability to operate motorized equipment and possession of sufficient physical stamina to work outdoors under various field conditions;
- Valid Driver's License.
