File Clerk / Legal Assistant
Civil Litigation Law Firm (Construction and Surety Law) – Fort Lauderdale, FL 33324
We are looking for an energetic and self motivated file clerk / legal assistant with prior civil litigation experience to join our team, ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management.
Some of the required qualifications are:
- 5 years minimum experience in civil litigation;
- Working knowledge of court procedures, discovery and calendaring deadlines;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Job duties include:
- E-filing in State, Federal and Appeals Court;
- Filing pleadings, motions and correspondence;
- Coordinating and scheduling telephone conferences, meetings, hearings, depositions, mediation;
- Maintaining case files;
- Time entry;
- Proofread legal documents;
Job Type: Full-time
