Associate, Warehouse Field Distribution

Looking for someone with warehouse clerk experience. UPS data entry, and eye for detail

Start time is 7:00 am.

One half hour lunch, a 15 minute break in the morning, and one 15 minute break in the afternoon.

Overtime may be required. Saturday work is rare, but also may be needed.

THIS IS A GENERAL LABOR TYPE WAREHOUSE POSITION.

The day consists of unboxing copiers and parts, preparing copiers to be rolled into the shop.

There will be bending, twisting. pushing and pulling.

This can be light or heavy work. Very little of the day is sitting or standing around.

Team lifting is required on anything over 50 lbs.

We will provide training. No experience is required just an ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and a desire to work in a fast paced environment that is not 100% climate controlled.

You will be in and out of trailers.

Dress code is Sneakers, No lettering on the shirts or sweatshirts.

Jeans and no sweatpants or stretch pants.

Need people who can work the required schedule and have good attendance, is open to being cross trained, and wants to be part of the Client team.

Shift timings:

6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (Mon to Fri)

Responsible for completing specific warehouse duties on a regular basis.

Position requires ability to perform all warehouse tasks including shipping, receiving, order filling, loading and unloading trucks, Must be able to efficiently operate powered and non-powered material handling and dock equipment.

Position can be labor intensive.

Adheres to all OSHA standards in performance of duties.

RECEIVING functions include unloading all incoming freight from carriers, freight companies, delivery trucks etc...

Ensures all product received is thoroughly checked and inspected according to quality and quantity guidelines.

Verifies all paperwork is accurate and completes and signs all paperwork and accepts product delivered.

Controls all receiving documentation up to and can include the actual data entry with scanners, or desktop PC's.

Documents and communicates any and all discrepancies to Team Lead or Supervisor.

STOCKING functions include the product put away of inbound receipts as well as relocating product within warehouse storage areas.

Ensures all product is accurately tracked to a storage rack/shelve/bin/bulk location.

Ensures all product movement is recorded on paperwork or is updated and completed using scanners within the warehouse management system.

Can use directed put away reports or completes the physical put aways into locations as directed.

ORDER PULLING functions include the accurate selection of product from warehouse locations to complete customer orders.

Ensures all product descriptions and quantities match the information on the order Meets appropriate productivity /quality standards relative to job responsibility as outlined by manager.

Completes and controls all paperwork per established process or updates and completes tasks using scanners within the warehouse management system.

SHIPPING functions include completing all activities needed to prepare and finalize any and all order types for internal and external customers.

Ensures all shipments are processed and controlled using manifest systems or other shipping controls.

Packs shipments to ensure minimal damage during transit.

Palletize and Loads product onto carriers trucks, freight companies, delivery trucks etc...

Responsible for the safe operation and use of any material handling or dock equipment i.e., forklift, pallet.

Performs other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent education is required.

Minimum two years warehouse experience or one year company experience is required.

Must have adequate reading and math skill and ability to write legibly.

Must be physically able to perform assigned tasks including walking, standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods of time and ability to lift up to 100lbs.

Must be able to safely and efficiently operate powered and non powered material handling and dock equipment -requires forklift certification.

Most adhere to all OSHA requirements.

Ability to listen to direction, manage time and complete all work as assigned within established timelines.

Team player and have ability to interact with fellow workers.

Typically, a warehouse environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

Work assignments are diversified. Interpret, comprehend and apply complex material, data and instruction prepare, provide and convey diversified information.

Working conditions regularly expose individuals to conditions that could result in minor cuts and burns.

There is frequent exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.

Physical effort is required in the lifting of tool cases, and assorted equipment weighing up to 75 pounds, as well as the ability to move objects on wheels that may weigh up to 700 pounds.

Frequent stooping, bending, squatting and kneeling are required to service equipment at floor level.
