RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Coordinate field testing and inspection activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Oversee the deployment and utilization of field equipment and personnel.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues.
Estimating and Proposal Development:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for field testing and inspection projects.
- Analyze project requirements and develop detailed scopes of work.
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to secure new projects.
Field Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and coach field technicians and inspectors.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Ensure proper safety training and compliance of all field personnel.
Client Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as clients' primary point of contact, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns.
- Conduct and participate in project meetings, presenting progress reports and technical information.
- Prepare detailed inspection and testing reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain detailed project documentation.
Quality Control and Assurance:
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor field operations and ensure quality of work.
- Address and resolve any quality-related issues or discrepancies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred, but not required, with demonstrated exceptional ability and strong work ethic).
- Proven experience in field testing and inspection management.
- Strong estimating and proposal writing skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills for coaching field technicians and inspectors.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including client interaction and participation in project meetings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
