TRD Duties:
- Counsel patients to develop leisure activities.
- Create treatment plans based on needs, interests, and therapy goals.
- Teach activities and techniques (e.g., sports, dance, art) to address physical or psychological needs.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to plan and assess therapy programs.
- Encourage clients with special needs to develop skills and engage in health-promoting activities.
- Observe and record patients' participation and progress, adjusting programs as necessary.
- Gather information from medical records, staff, family, and patients to assess needs and interests.
- Develop discharge plans for patients.
- Plan and direct activities to support rehabilitation, community integration, and prevent further issues.
- Prepare reports to document patients' progress and reactions.
- Conduct therapy sessions to enhance mental and physical well-being.
Requirements for therapeutic Recreation Director (TRD):
Valid TRD Certificate- Experience highly Preferred
