Summary of Position:
The Operations Command Center (OCC) Operator is responsible for the daily operation of the CIVI Production/Operations Command Center. This position will provide routine and non-routine technical support as it pertains to well operation/optimization, production data analysis and alarm management.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Entry to intermediate Level OCC operator position. Fulfills the following duties under general or moderate supervision:
- Continuous monitoring of well, facility and midstream data (status, pressure, temperature, rate, status, etc.) from the OCC.
- Monitor field-wide performance with an emphasis on proactively helping to mitigate non-routine downtime wherever possible.
- Assist in recognizing well performance issues and recommend troubleshooting strategies when possible.
- Assess incoming alarms to determine appropriate response, notify field personnel as applicable.
- Analyze historical well trends to identify pads/wells with potential for uplift.
- Work with production foreman, engineers and lease operators to manipulate well settings.
- Help to document well level changes implemented by OCC and associated value gained.
- Participate in route reviews/lookbacks with Production Operations and Engineering teams to discuss efficacy of changes implemented.
- Assist with oil and water load dispatch and monitoring.
- Field work as needed to work hand in hand with Lease Operators to optimize well performance.
- Help coordinate emergency response within ICS framework.
- Position will work a rotational schedule (8/6) to ensure consistent coverage in the OCC.
- Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with CIVI Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements.
- Assure all work performed adheres to CIVI standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Forward-thinking about the larger business, understand how the command center will be utilized across the current business model and how it can be expanded both cross-discipline and cross-basin
- Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with CIVI Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements
- Assure all work performed adheres to CIVI standard.
Education, Experience, and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- 1-4 years’ experience in relevant Oil and Gas field experience. Previous experience in a Lease Operator/Pumper role preferred.
- Basic to intermediate math and computer skills are required.
- Experience with Cygnet or Ignition systems preferred
- Mechanical skills, experience working with oilfield tools and equipment is preferred.
- Demonstrated team player with good attitude and work ethic, flexible and good interpersonal skills.
Travel & Additional Requirements:
- Travel required to the Civitas field locations.
