Job Summary

Essential Job Functions
- Operate equipment to package dry granulated Threonine while ensuring accuracy, efficiency and product integrity meet or exceed company standards
- Inspects packaged product to verify conformance to specifications, i.e. ensure bags are sealed correctly, weights are within range and printing is correct.
- Perform scale calibration, magnetic separator and metal detection verification checks and report any abnormal findings to management
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and communicate service requests to the maintenance department as necessary
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Confirm all paperwork (number of pallets, rejects, etc.) is correctly completed.
- Collect samples as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to multi-task
- Communicate effectively and participate in a continuous improvement culture, including utilizing problem solving skills; be flexible to all shifts
- Willingness to cross-train into other areas; ensure conformance to standard work by following SOP’s; communicate any issues to the appropriate resources in a timely manner
- Basic mathematical, mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- General computer use skills
- This position works 12-hour rotating shifts (36 / 48 hours per week alternating, which includes days, weekends, holidays and overtime.
- This position works in a manufacturing environment, which includes exposures to moving mechanical parts, high noise levels, vibrations, varying atmospheric conditions and temperatures, hazardous chemicals, high pressure steam, dust
- This position regularly requires standing, walking extended distances, ascending/descending stairs extended distances, lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, ascending/descending ladders. The position regularly requires reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, close/distance vision
- High school diploma / GED
- Production and/or maintenance experience is preferred
