Project Manager – Transmission Gas Construction
The Project Manager – Transmission Gas Work is responsible for overseeing natural gas transmission pipeline projects from start to finish. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining compliance with all industry regulations. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, experience in underground utility construction, and is willing to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all phases of natural gas transmission projects, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and successful execution
- Coordinate with internal crews, subcontractors, vendors, and utility clients to maintain project timelines and budgets
- Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, permits, and regulatory requirements
- Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, schedules, change orders, and daily reporting
- Track and control costs while ensuring productivity goals are met
- Conduct job site inspections to enforce safety standards and quality control
- Serve as a primary point of contact for the client and project stakeholders
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to field supervisors and crew members
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing natural gas transmission or related utility infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA, PHMSA, and other pipeline industry regulations
- Familiarity with pipeline welding, hydrostatic testing, HDD, and mainline installation methods
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and gas utility standards
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred

- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass background check
- Must pass a urinalysis drug screening
- Willingness to travel
