Position Overview:
The Manager, Strategy will be responsible for initiating, developing, and driving new growth opportunities and corporate-level strategic initiatives. This individual will work closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to drive innovation and growth for CJ Logistics America. We are looking for a creative self-starter that is eager to work cross-functionally while navigating ambiguity through a fast-changing environment.
We evaluate and build new businesses, and lead key initiatives that drive CJ Logistics America’s long-term growth and enable cross-functional organizations to achieve their goals. The strategy team leads key strategic initiatives for future growth (organic & in-organic), and go-to-market strategy, and develops strategic partnerships to support CJ Logistics' success.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify New Growth Opportunities: Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, organizational capabilities, and stakeholder sentiment to identify, develop,p and evaluate emerging organic and inorganic growth opportunities
- Execute New Growth Opportunities: Support and deliver large, cross-functional growth opportunities and strategic initiatives from development to early-stage execution to drive successful results
- Strategic Initiative Management: Responsible for oversight and management as well as driving progress and outcomes of key initiatives
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership, cross-functional leaders, and external partners, develop a long-term (3-year) strategy, and create underlying supporting materials
- Strategic Analysis: Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses for strategic decision-making through developing business cases, building financial models, analyzing data, and gathering market research
- Corporate Development: Support inorganic growth initiatives across end-to-end deal lifecycle including target screening, due diligence, and post-merger integration
- Perform other related job duties as required, within the scope of training and expertise
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business &/or Supply Chain preferred
- 7 years of strategy and operations experience through a combination of strategy/ management consulting and corporate strategy roles
- Related experience/ expertise in third-party logistics (3PL) and its underlying segments including warehousing, transportation,n and freight forwarding preferred.
- Proven track record of independently identifying and executing end-to-end growth opportunities and strategic initiatives
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills in collaborative and multicultural environments involving frequent communication and relationship building with executive leadership, cross-functional teams and external partners
- Strategic thinker with exceptional prowess who can solve problems in fast-paced and dynamic settings using a well-rounded quantitative and qualitative skillset
- Willingness to travel as needed

- Salary range: $103,211 - $125.000
