About the Position :
The Electronic Clinical Record (ECR) Manager / Clinical Informatics Specialist is an integral part of the Performance and Quality Improvement department. This position works alongside the Director of Performance & Quality Improvement and is responsible for the updating and implementation of the organization’s ECR; is a super user of the system and as such, will train new users. This position will also assist with continued performance improvement initiatives and preparation for, and evaluation of, youth and family-centered programs as required by CJR’s COA accreditation process.
- Provide staff training around all aspects of the ECR, including onboarding and continuing training as needed
- Troubleshoot and perform “helpdesk” functions for CJR’s use of ECR
- Gather client data through observation, interviews, and data analysis to understand program processes and performance metrics
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues to ensure data integrity and accuracy of formatted data to meet best practice standards
- Manage and maintain the confidentiality and data systems security of the client ECR with a knowledge of risk management of system usage
- Assess existing policies for clarity, compliance, and effectiveness
- Identify gaps in policies and propose updates or new policies to address issues
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policy changes
- Lead process improvement projects, setting clear goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Utilize data analysis tools to measure impact of implemented changes and identify areas for further improvement
- Create reports and presentations to communicate findings and progress to leadership and other stakeholders
- Assist in preparing data for various grants, accreditation and licensing preparations
- Assist with the preparation for, and evaluation of, programs as required by CJR’s COA accreditation process
