About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team at CK Commercial. As an Assistant Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all on-site construction activities.
This includes supervising trades, field personnel, and owner vendors to ensure successful project completion on schedule and within budget. You will also administer practices and procedures for a safe working environment, maintain the highest level of quality, and provide excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans, including logistics/phasing plans, workforce projections, and other essential details.
- Lead efforts to plan and sequence work activities, develop project schedules, and coordinate with the Project Manager and project team.
- Effectively manage project budgets and assist in change order management, including scope, schedule durations, and general conditions.
- Support the preparation and implementation of project QC plans, perform submittal reviews, lead pull-planning and pre-construction meetings, verify materials, and more.
- Oversee and execute punch list and warranty processes efficiently.
- Identify field risks (safety, quality, schedule, etc.) and proactively develop and communicate mitigation plans.
- Lead CK's safety program, planning work activities, and communicating with subcontractors to maintain a safe work environment.
- Manage incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up.
- Initiate and execute field meetings, including foremen's meetings, safety meetings, and actively participate in owner's meetings.
- Proactively schedule testing and inspections requirements, resolving issues as needed.
- Help resolve issues relative to contractual and construction documents, seek help in determining building means and methods.
- Prepare and/or monitor all jobsite document controls, including daily reports, quality management checklists (Rolling Completion Log), punch lists, schedule updates, timesheets, quantity reporting, RFIs, and field issues or changes.
About You:
- You have 0-3 years of experience in construction.
- You hold a Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or commensurate experience.
- You have experience managing processes to achieve results.
- You possess First Aid/CPR certification and OSHA 30-hour certification (or willingness to complete within the first 180 days of employment).
- You have knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- You have expressed interest in industry trends and innovations.
- You have strong self-motivation and work ethic, as well as humility.
- You demonstrate Emotional Intelligence, knowing how to work with others to achieve a common goal.
- You have excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task.
- You can read and interpret construction documents with assistance, including contracts, plans, and specs.
- You have acute attention to detail.

Job Requirements:
- The person in this position works primarily on a construction project site.
- You will very frequently move through construction sites to inspect progress.
- You will frequently ascend and descend ladders and stairs to inspect construction progress on project sites.
- You will position yourself to inspect construction progress frequently.
- You will apply construction tools, such as tape measure, levels, etc., to assist in inspecting construction projects.
- You will occasionally move construction materials and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
- You will frequently communicate with stakeholders and partners by phone, computer, and in-person.
- You may be regularly exposed to loud noise levels.
- You may be regularly exposed to dust.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
