Position Summary
Assists patients, working under direction of the medical and clinical staff in chemical dependency detox and residential treatment setting by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to clinical licensure standards.
- Completes telephone assessments, screens and schedules admissions.
- Greets new patients upon admission and completes all tasks associated with the admission process.
- Assists patients in becoming accustomed to residential routine and encourages them to participate in activities to promote recovery.
- Interacts with patients during social and recreational activities and facilitates educational programs.
- Observes patients to prevent wandering from unit areas or grounds.
- Observes patients to detect unusual behavior, and confronts this behavior in an appropriate manner to prevent escalation of problems from occurring.
- Transports patients off grounds to medical appointments, meetings, and recreational events, and complete the vehicle log book.
- Assists patients with unit chores and helps to maintain the cleanliness of the unit and Tech's station.
- Prepares and serves meals when required, maintains cleanliness of food service kitchen.
- Maintains patient records in a site visit ready manner at all times, and completes other required paperwork such as shift change reports, documenting all patient behavior.
- Completes urinalysis and breathalyzer testing as required.
- Takes and records vital statistics, such as pulse, temperature, and respirations.
- Observes and documents compliance of patients during medication self-administration.
- Completes patient admissions and discharges.
- Other duties as assigned.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
- Current valid Kansas Driver’s License.
- CKF will provide First Aid, CPR and AED training within the first 30 days from hire date.
