Governmental Accountant

CKH is seeking an accountant for our government accounting department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist local municipalities in identifying and resolving bookkeeping issues
• Travel to client sites as needed across GA, NC, and TX
• Reconcile bank, balance inter-fund accounts, prepare capital asset registers and debt roll-forward schedules
• draft financial statements, ensure audit readiness for multiple clients
  
  
  

Requirements

• Great understanding of accounting (double entries)
• Solid communication skills
• Willingness to learn and problem solve
• Ability to work independently (self-starter)
  
  
  

Education and Experience:

• B.A./B.S. in Accounting
• GASB and GAAP
• 1 year of experience
