Position Overview:
The Event Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing a variety of events, including corporate meetings, conferences, trade shows. This position requires a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all logistics for events, ensuring timely and seamless execution.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and goals for each event.
- Research and book venues, vendors, and suppliers for various events, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality service.
- Develop detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, and staff assignments.
- Manage event marketing efforts, including invitations, promotional materials, and social media promotion.
- Supervise on-site event execution, managing teams and ensuring all event elements are delivered as planned.
- Handle event-related administrative duties, such as event registrations, RSVPs, and client communication.
- Provide post-event support, including feedback collection and reporting on event outcomes.
- Assist in the development of event strategies and initiatives to enhance overall event quality and client satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations during event planning and execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Planning, Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in event coordination or project management.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
