PAY AND BENEFITS
Annual Pay Range: $108,914.19 - $138,574.37
Hourly Pay Range: $55.853432 - $71.063777
Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.

12 hours of vacation accrued per month

Employees must work a minimum of 30 hours per week to receive full benefits. Employees working 20 - 29 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits for themselves and family members. JOB DETAILS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Clackamas County's Health Centers Division is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner for our School-Based Health Centers. School Based Health Centers (SBHCs) are located within the Oregon City School District at Oregon City High School; North Clackamas School District at Rex Putnam High School in Milwaukie, Clackamas High School and Adrienne C. Nelson High School in Happy Valley. This position is primarily located at Rex Putnam HS SBHC. However, chosen applicant may be asked to cover at another site based on program need.
In this role you will conduct physical examinations, interview patients and families, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures, and develop care plans. Responsibilities include prescribing medications, evaluating patient responses, and educating on medication risks and benefits. You will participate in clinic operations, quality assurance activities, the development of clinical protocols, and enhance patient care and health outcomes.
Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Oregon
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
- Within thirty (30) days of hire, licensed as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive privileges in area of specialty by the State of Oregon.
Preferred Special Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
- Experience working with adolescents
- Experience providing reproductive health care to adolescents
- Proficiency or willingness to be trained in IUD placement procedure
- Experience with evaluation and treatment of anxiety and depression
- Pediatric Experience
- Bilingual Proficiency (Spanish/English)

TYPICAL TASKS
Clinical Responsibilities and Patient Care Coordination:
- Work in team based care model with site specific CMA and mental health provider and shared SBHC BH and RN positions.
- Conduct physical examinations, interview patients and families for health histories.
- Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic procedures and laboratory tests.
- Develop and implement care plans, and make referrals to other health care providers.
- Prescribe and administer medications within legally established formulary.
- Evaluate patient response to medications and educate on risks and benefits.
- Participate in clinic operations and quality assurance activities; evaluate and recommend improvements to health care services.
- Assist in the formation and review of clinical protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in continuing education and in-service training.
- Document patient encounters, physicals, exams, case summaries, chart notes, consultations, work plans, intake and termination papers, billing documentation, and correspondence.
- Promote SBHC services and present educational talks to students.
Family Practice Medicine:
- Provisions of age appropriate reproductive health care. Including: diagnosis, and treatment of gynecological conditions including menstrual irregularities and STIs. Provide counseling on nutrition, sexuality, family planning, contraception, and sexually transmitted diseases.
- Provide diagnostic assessment, management, and follow-up for youth with acute medical and mental health disorders; teach general health care, hygiene, and first aid.
- Pediatric medicine: conduct physical exams, evaluate growth and development, diagnose and treat childhood illnesses, counsel parents, and determine immunization needs.
WORK SCHEDULE
This position works three eight hour days; 8:00am - 4:30pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended. This position is designated as on-site/in-person. It is expected that the selected candidate will perform duties at the specified on-site work location.
