Who Were Looking For:
We are looking for someone who will beresponsible for supporting and managing the life cycle of all company business systems. You will identify any problems in the system, anticipate issues and repair systems and software when necessary.
The Day-to-Day:
- Oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of server systems, personal computers, wireless networking, server racks and other related equipment, devices and systems.
- Troubleshoots systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
- Researches, recommends and designs infrastructure for servers and associated systems.
- Implements policies, administers firewall, applies public key encryption to network applications, manage host security and file permissions.
- Participates in the evaluation and makes recommendations regarding the purchase of computers, server hardware, peripheral equipment and software.
- Works as a hands-on team member and supervisor with other technical staff, such as Helpdesk, security, development and reporting. support technicians to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
- Acts as the liaison between System Administration team and all internal and external customers
- Ensures compliance with industry standards, methodologies, and expectations of work for System Administration and Helpdesk Teams.
- Performs additional related tasks and projects as required and assigned.
Required Skills:

- Ability to communicate objectives and manage to completion of objectives
- Ability to document processes, design patterns and procedures for the SA team Excellent analytical skills
- Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and availability
- Develop and implement database strategies, including database design, capacity planning, and disaster recovery
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and implement solutions
- Perform database upgrades and migrations as necessary
- Create and maintain documentation related to system and database configuration, procedures, and best practices
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree with 2 years experience, or
- 5 years experience related specifically to System/Network Administration
