Description
In this role, you will prepare draft legal pleadings and correspondence for criminal prosecution, civil litigation, and other governmental matters. You'll perform initial file setups for various legal proceedings, provide comprehensive clerical support, and coordinate court hearings with various entities. Your duties will also include managing electronic information systems, locating and providing records, proofreading office work, filing documents with courts, and researching case histories. Additionally, you will schedule appointments, answer public inquiries, and document work in court files. Cross-training attorneys and other support staff, interviewing parties for legal forms, and taking on special projects such as compiling statistical data, preparing annual reports, and evaluating departmental practices are also part of your responsibilities.
