Salary Information
The compensation for this position ranges from $27.32 [Starting Wage] to $33.29 [Top Wage] per hour. This salary structure is based on the County’s 9-step pay scale.
Description
The Recompete Communications & Media Coordinator plays a vital role in developing and executing communication strategies to promote workforce training programs, job creation efforts, and barrier removal initiatives. Key responsibilities include creating and managing content across press releases, websites, social media, and multimedia platforms while ensuring consistent messaging aligned with the coalition’s goals. This position involves maintaining the coalition’s website, coordinating with members to streamline communication, and fostering media relationships to secure coverage of key initiatives. Additionally, the coordinator will support events and campaigns, monitor the effectiveness of communication efforts, and provide regular updates to stakeholders. NOTE: This is a federal grant funded, limited term position, for the term of the Recompete EDA grant, which is expected to conclude September 2029. This role is dependent upon the continuation of this grant funding. If the funding is discontinued, the position will be eliminated.
