What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Educator position at Clara Martin Center?
We are seeking a full-time Special Educator for our therapeutic school in East Randolph. East Valley Academy is an independent alternative school where students receive a combination of academic and therapeutic emotional and behavioral supports. We maintain a small classroom size with a maximum of 6 students per classroom, and a total of 22-24 students in the program.
In addition to the academic component, EVA utilizes a strengths based, resiliency model of programming that is highlighted in our Adventure/Experiential learning components of the programming.
Responsibilities:
-Work closely with Teachers, classroom clinicians, and clinical staff to assure quality and comprehensive supports are in place for students.
-Assist with IEP development and implementation, and special education case management.
Vermont Licensure as a Special Educator with certifications to serve: Emotional Disability, Other Health Impairments, and Intellectual Disabilities is required.
