Position Details
Paraeducator – CTE Automotive Technology – (9-month position 185 Days)
LOCATION :
Magnus Building B in the morning and Gladwin High School in the afternoon
REPORTS TO :
Classroom Teacher and CTE Director
HOURS :
hours per day; Monday – Friday
WAGES :
According to the MEA Contract
STARTING DATE : As soon as possible
PRIMARY FUNCTION :
To assist CTE Automotive instructor in supervision of lab safety, individualized student support, and preparation of CTE Program reporting requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work effectively with all students, including special education students
- Preferred but not required : knowledge of and experience with working in automotive technology
- Excellent communication skills with both students and other adults
- Organizational skills required for keeping tools, equipment and documents organized
- Physical stamina and ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds
- Basic technology skills, preferred
