The Branch Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of a branch location. They are responsible for the performance of the branch, ensuring the branch meets their goals for sales, service, and compliance. This position acts as a resource and mentor with all areas of the Bank to resolve any system or customer opportunities. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with banking regulations and Bank policies. The Branch Operations Manager will actively assist customers with consumer loan applications. This position will provide recommendations for training opportunities as well as efficiencies for the benefit of customers and the Bank.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leads by example in driving performance, fostering customer-centric culture, and ensuring operational excellence.

Manages team members, provide guidance and support, resolves escalated issues, and ensures the branch meets its financial and customer service goals.

Expands and strengthens existing customer relationships by proactively engaging customers to identify opportunities for cross selling and expanding service offerings, acting as the customers trusted advisor.

Delivers training sessions on Bank procedures to groups of varying size. Ensures content is clear, engaging, and tailored to the audience, providing guidance and support to enhance understanding and compliance with organizational processes.

Accurately processes consumer loan applications in accordance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines. Ensures timely and efficient handling of loan documentation and customer communication throughout the loan process.

Actively participates in volunteer activities and attends community events to foster relationships and enhance the company’s presence, demonstrating commitment to community engagement and corporate social responsibility.

Executes comprehensive staff development strategies to enhance employee performance, engagement and career progression. Identifies training needs and provide ongoing coaching.

Engages customers in meaningful conversations to build rapport and trust. Actively listens and effectively determines customer needs to provide tailored solutions and enhance their overall experience.

Manages performance by providing feedback to include performance reviews, recommending promotions, and pay increases, as well as documenting employee performance.

Solves problems through product and procedural knowledge.

Ensures that the branch is properly staffed by doing the scheduling and working with other branches for coverage

Designs and executes targeted calling campaigns aimed at offering additional products and services to current customers. Analyzes customer needs, identifies opportunities for product enhancement or service expansions, and strategically engages customers to increase product adoption and satisfaction. This duty will focus solely on existing relationships, with no cold calling required.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

May work an occasional Saturday as needed

Other duties as assigned

Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Supervises branch staff

May be called upon to assist other areas in providing supervisory authority actions

Professional Relations:

Works professionally with all employees, customers, vendors, and the general public to achieve goals and objectives of Claremont Savings Bank’s vision, mission and values.

Enhances the Bank’s image by providing representation and involvement in community activities and charitable, civic and social organizations.

Education/Certification:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Additional bank coursework required

2-4 year business, or related degree preferred

Required Experience/Required Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of Retail Banking and Consumer Lending

Proficient Computer Software skills (i.e. Excel, Word)

Strong background in customer service functions, product knowledge, and well-rounded knowledge of banking functions

3 – 4 years of progressively responsible Leadership experience

Demonstrated ability and experience to manage the needs of a Branch location.

Skills/Abilities:

Strong time management skills

Accountability for proper application of policies and procedures, consumer loan recommendations and decisions

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Moderate physical effort required; normally seated with the freedom of movement on a regular basis; some lifting of light materials and supplies. Work involves a mixture of walking, sitting, and/or standing. Well-lighted and ventilated office environment, which are generally pleasant and comfortable. Minimal exposure to injury or other hazards with moderate level of noise.
