Setting : Multiple Openings Across Pre-K Grade Level

Role Breakdown :
- Participate in IEP meetings and coordinate with other service providers.
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed to meet IEP goals.
- Create a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom environment that fosters learning and independence.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for early childhood students with special needs.
- Provide instruction in both individual and group settings to meet the developmental needs of children ages 3-5.
- Collaborate with families, paraprofessionals, therapists, and other educators to support each child's goals and progress.
- Use play-based learning and developmentally appropriate practices to support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
Requirements
Applicants must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field, along with a valid Illinois teaching certification in Early Childhood Special Education. A strong foundation in early childhood development and effective behavior management techniques is essential. While experience working with preschool-aged children with disabilities is preferred, excellent communication and collaboration skills are key to partnering with families and colleagues to foster student success.
