Role Breakdown :
- Participate in IEP meetings and coordinate with other service providers.
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed to meet IEP goals.
- Create a structured safe and nurturing classroom environment that fosters learning and independence.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for early childhood students with special needs.
- Provide instruction in both individual and group settings to meet the developmental needs of children ages 35.
- Collaborate with families paraprofessionals therapists and other educators to support each child s goals and progress.
- Use playbased learning and developmentally appropriate practices to support social emotional cognitive and physical growth.
Requirements
Applicants must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field along with a valid Illinois teaching certification in Early Childhood Special Education. A strong foundation in early childhood development and effective behavior management techniques is essential. While experience working with preschoolaged children with disabilities is preferred excellent communication and collaboration skills are key to partnering with families and colleagues to foster student success.
