Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct speech and language screenings to identify potential communication challenges.
- Evaluate and analyze data to recommend appropriate speechlanguage interventions for students.
- Assist with IEP development by crafting impactful goals and ensuring proper student placement procedures.
- Deliver evidencebased therapy sessions tailored to meet each student s unique needs and communication goals.
- Provide guidance and consultation to educators and families helping integrate effective communication strategies into daily activities.
- Collaborate closely with teachers parents administrators and other specialists to align speechlanguage objectives with both classroom and home environments.
Requirements
Applicants should possess an Associates or Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field as well as hold or be eligible for an Illinois SLPA license. Previous experience in a school setting is preferred. Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal communication and organizational abilities along with the capacity to collaborate effectively and follow the guidance of the supervising SLP.
