- Lead enterprise-wide Pricing & Proposals (P&P) department responsible for (i) financial bids on new RFPs and change orders, (ii) requests for information (RFI’s), (iii) updates/enhancements to pricing tools and standard costing, and (iv) various other financial initiatives and activities in support of the commercial process and commercial organization
- Serve as a member of the Finance Leadership Team as a direct report to the CFO, and lead a global P&P team of more than 50 colleagues
- Lead all team initiatives related to process and systems improvements to drive organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Implement and manage the introduction of new technology and departmental tools, including new bidding/pricing tools
- Support internal stakeholders on development and execution of both strategic and tactical pricing initiatives
- Support the organization across all business units
- Monitor, manage and report KPI’s for the P&P department, including turnaround times (TATs), accuracy, etc
- Based on RFP and protocol, work in collaboration with other departments to determine optimal bid strategy, standard and variable costing parameters, optimal customer communications, etc
- Co-lead the development and/or maintenance of Gross Margin (GM) calculators, ensuring logic, methodology and accuracy of all GM calculators are valid and documented.
- Support (as needed) Business Development, Finance, Business Leaders, and Project Management staff during client conference calls and client face-to-face meetings.
- Manage departmental initiatives/special projects
- Assist in establishing and enforcing departmental and Company standards, including commercial finance protocols, internal controls, etc
- Coordinate/facilitate responses to customer audit inquiries
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/MS preferred (but will be substituted with experience)
- Accounting and/or Finance education desirable
- 5 years’ experience in a commercial process or commercial bidding environment, including project costing, RFP’s, pricing, etc
- 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical services environment
- 7 years general management or supervisory experience
- Thorough knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical industry, terminology and practices required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Access required.
- 3 years experience utilizing SalesForce as a CRM
- Mathematically inclined; knowledge of Costing and/or Cost Estimating concepts preferred.
- Ability to lead and develop others within an engaging and collaborative environment.

- Ability to create and implement strategy both strategic and tactical.
- Ability to work independently or in team setting; ability to adjust to changing priorities.
