As
a key member of the SPS Commercial leadership team, you will own the
Pricing Excellence Function and lead the SPS global pricing team to enable the
delivery of all pricing objectives and strategies. The focus will include
performance management and ensuring desired results are delivered, pricing
tools are deployed, and analytics are utilized.
You
will be responsible for identifying and analyzing price data from a variety of
ERP systems using best practices, standard methodologies and tools. By creating
strong partnerships with offering management, key strategic business leaders and
senior management you will help to maximize the profitability of the business
by systematically employing key pricing levers. You will leverage analytics
from transactional, pass-thru, value, new product, and OEM price agreements to
drive margin improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the SPS pricing organization through pricing optimization projects and deploy pricing capabilities for the various businesses
- Responsible for leadership and tactical execution of end-to-end pricing strategy and serves as a primary project manager across inflation mitigation steps
- Drive the establishment of a global pricing structure including pricing analytics, operations, and transformation
- Support standard price management platform and deal desk tool deployments, as well as global price analytics
- Drive and report monthly performance on value, transactional and pass-thru pricing
- Implement business analytics (reporting methodology, tools, and cadence) to support targeted outcomes
- Implement, track and report schedule of executive approval, discount management, price waterfall analysis, and target price metrics by product lines/customers
- Support list price evaluation process and contract escalations
- Ensure consistent reporting and communication of pricing changes, deployments, and progress globally
- Take on ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed
