Working closely alongside a team of experts with extensive CRM, business and technical knowledge/experience, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the Salesforce application but will also be involved in supporting other business applications used by the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT team and business stakeholders to ensure that all applications are available, performing optimally, and meeting the needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second line support and training for Salesforce users in addition to other business applications used by the organization as needed.
- Administer 3rd party application licenses.
- Maintain profiles, security settings, access settings etc. (User Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Sharing Rules and Security).
- Perform data imports, fulfil ad hoc data requests, data integrity and manipulation tasks such as merging duplicate records and establishing proper ownership of existing accounts and contacts.
- Document the processes and identify ways to improve processes within the Service Desk for all applications supported.
- Collaborate with business users and management to perform requirements gathering.
- Assist developers and business users in gathering and validating test data and understanding use cases, business requirements, and testing plans.
- Set customer expectations on the completion rate of work and provide regular updates on the status of open support issues.
- Communicate regularly with leadership in order to ensure the delivery of high quality service both within and outside the department.
Key skills & knowledge:
- Strong Salesforce CRM and configuration knowledge.
- Experience of working with Validation and Workflow rules in Salesforce CRM
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience working with data and knowledge of basic data principles and processes.
- Strong technical and analytical skills/knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to create and manage support processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Salesforce security knowledge
Desirable (but not essential):
- Salesforce certifications (ADM201/Trailhead modules and badges)
- Experience of the events sector
